Amicus is happy to inform people in penobscot, piscataquis, hancock and waldo county

that we are providing case management services in their area of our beautiful state.



The case management director is Denis Cranson, M.S., M.S.B., LSW.   As a licensed teacher and licensed social worker Denis has excelled as Director of Amicus Person Centered Planning, as a State of Maine social worker, and as the Executive Director of a local non- profit where he developed the ongoing case management program. He has been published in academic journals, presented at a variety of workshops and other events and earned numerous accolades along the way.



Most importantly Denis is a tireless advocate for the individuals he serves. His professionalism, knowledge, and experience ensure that efforts are both efficient and effective. He works hard to ensure the best possible outcomes and yet always finds time to listen.



His background in Person Centered Planning makes Denis uniquely qualified to assist each person to discover his or her own personal goals, to understand their rights and obligations and to help chart a course toward achieving those goals.



If you are interested in receiving case management from Amicus you need not be currently receiving any services from Amicus. We will be happy to meet with you as you make this very important decision.

  • Act as a resource for information related to community support options, housing, employment, family support, and other available services
  • Provide assistance with obtaining needed benefits based on eligibility
  • Support the individual’s decisions based on personal strengths and desires
  • Coordinate personal goals with other services identified during the planning process
